The Simplicity of Kodak Ultramax 400 Film

One of the most popular films in the world, and for good reason. The warm, daylight rated tones of Kodak Ultramax 400 are fantastic for that nostalgic look and for creating physical memories. It’s great for point and shoots and for professional range 35mm cameras. It’s usually the first film that people shoot with, since it’s so widely available and can be processed at any lab.

Here are some sample shots of it in different environments, using both point and shoots and manual 35mm film cameras.

It’s an incredibly versatile film, it can be used in lowlight situations with a flash as well. The grain is subtle enough so that it’s not overpowering the photo, but just grainy enough to show the true essence and beauty of 35mm film. It’s also a more budget friendly option, as it is in the consumer range versus Portra which is marketed toward professionals. Ultramax’s punchy colours and realistic contrast make it a popular choice for consumers and professionals alike.
